Where to get coffee with your dog

Your pup may wake up ready to rock and roll, but we humans need a little bean buzz sometimes. These shops are known for being accommodating to dogs, with spacious outdoor spaces and dog-friendly policies.  

Building Three Coffee

Given its concrete floors and a spacious outdoor patio, it’s hard to find a better place to grab a cup of java with your furry friend than Building Three, located on the north side of the city.

Where to walk with your dog

The world is your oyster if you’re looking for a walking trail in Colorado Springs. The hardest part is narrowing down so many options. Here are a few of our favorites.

Seven Bridges Trail Head

This 5.78-mile hike is considered fairly easy, following North Cheyenne Creek and crossing seven wooden bridges (hence the name). It’s also shaded, making for a cool, relaxing hike.

This is a 3.9-mile, moderately challenging loop trail that runs through Palmer Park. You’ll find views of Pikes Peak, wildflowers, and the sandstone spires and hoodoos.

Upper Gold Camp Road

If you’re looking for a more challenging route to take up a larger part of your day, consider Upper Gold Camp Road, a 14.3-mile loop trail that runs through the Pike National Forest. It takes about 6 hours and 24 minutes to complete this popular trail.

Where to play fetch with your dog

For off-leash time, we recommend heading to a dog park. At these spots, you don’t have to worry about your dog getting away, and they might even make a friend. 

🚨 Off-leash play is great for relieving the zoomies, but Colorado Springs currently has leash laws. There are dog parks and designated off-leash areas in certain public locations. Be sure to check if your area is off-leash or not before throwing that first tennis ball!

Fox Run Dog Park

This five-acre dog park sits on the north side of the city. It has a separate area for small dogs, a half-mile loop trail, and picnic tables. It’s open from dawn to dusk year-round.

In Cimarron Hills just north of the airport is this 2.5-acre fenced dog park. It’s part of a larger park with a pavilion, playground, and sports fields.
